Description

Join Wilderness Committee campaigner Eric Reder as he leads a tour of Nopiming Provincial Park. Experience the fantastic beauty of the boreal forest while learning about the importance of conservation, and bear witness to the impacts of mining exploration on this provincial treasure.

Since at least September 2017 the Manitoba government has been issuing destructive development permits to mining corporations, as Eric found out on a recent expedition to the Cat Lake area. This is not what parks are for.

This tour is an excellent opportunity for beginners and experienced hikers alike. We will meet in Winnipeg at 8:30 AM, and the $20 cost includes both lunch and carpool arrangements. No car needed!

Whether you're there for the beauty of the park or to see for yourself the damage being done, we have one guarantee: You've never seen Nopiming like this!
